BAE Systems Manufacturing Test Technician II in Wayne, New Jersey

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

  1. Performs operational tests on a wide variety of moderately complex production components, subassemblies and systems using data sheets, schematics, wiring diagrams, established test specifications and standard test procedures, which clearly outline procedures to be followed.

  2. Sets up and operates in accordance with prescribed procedures a variety of test stands consisting of multiples of standard test equipment such as pulse generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, counters, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers etc.

  3. Works with engineering instructions and standard test procedures to operationally test developmental products as required.

  4. Aligns and adjusts subassemblies and/or systems in accordance with test procedures and data sheets to comply with established specifications and acceptable performance.

  5. Interprets test data and checks results against specifications, test procedures and data sheets to determine proper functioning and test quality of product.

  6. Deviates from standard test procedures as required to troubleshoot, locate and diagnose malfunctions within the unit requiring application of technical knowledge, skill and ingenuity. Realigns and readjusts unit as required.

  7. Designates rework instructions where necessary and retests after rework.

  8. Approves / rejects test results. Records test data and submit test failure/acceptance reports. Notifies supervisor of unusual conditions or undesirable trends.

  9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Requires an Associate Degree in Electronics

1 year manufacturing test experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Ability to follow written instructions and procedures to complete tasks. Some circuit card troubleshooting capability preferred.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $49440 - $79080

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
