The Survey Crew Chief oversees a two-person survey crew to performand conductall types of surveys, including, but not limited to, construction staking, as-built, ALTA, topographic, boundary and subdivision surveys; utility investigations. Interpret construction plans and property deeds and maps; perform horizontal and vertical survey calculations. Ensure that all data is downloaded on a daily basis; performs sufficient checks in the field and records electronically and/or in the field notes. Demonstrates organizational and communication skills with the client and project team to understand the goals, challenges, schedule, budget and expectations of the project. Ensure proper vehicle and equipment maintenance.Demonstrates theability to interpret construction plans and property deeds and maps; calculate horizontal and vertical surveys;Other related duties as assigned. MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have1-2 years land surveyingexperience; experience with electric total station and data collectors and computers. Must be able to work outdoors and able to periodically travel to other islands in Maui County for projects. Must have current valid driver's license with acceptable traffic abstract. High School diploma or equivalent GED. Minimal 18 years of age.Good mathematicalskills; detail oriented; ability to manage time efficiently. Willing to learn. SCHEDULE: Fulltime (40 hours/week) Monday thru Friday usually 7:45 am-4:30 pm WAGE: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
