Do you have experience in working in a retail environment? Do you love food? If so, read on! We may have the role of a lifetime for you!

Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified person has at least 1 to 2 years of retail work experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. This role is based in our office in Monrovia, California.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for:

  • Reconciling store inventories and posting selected store inventory results.

  • Providing store support for inventory related issues.

  • Performing inventory related journal entries and month-end accruals as needed.

  • Preparing monthly account reconciliations and analysis.

  • Streamlining processes, identifying efficiency opportunities where available and making recommendations.

  • Providing assistance with tasks and backup when needed to other accounting crew members

  • Completing other projects or tasks as assigned.

  • Working collaboratively with other departments.

The qualified person has:

  • 1 to 2 years' experience working in a retail environment.

  • Previous General Ledger work experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • The ability to dig into the details to research and reconcile accounts.

  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
