Job Description/Essential Functions:

Purpose: * To facilitate client growth and development toward self-sufficiency in daily living skills, socialization and community living. * To facilitate clients' stabilization in the community. * To work cooperatively with team members. Supervision Received: * Receives general supervision from assigned Program Manager. Supervision Exercised: * N/A

Job Qualifications:

Qualifications: * Associates degree and 2 years experience working in the mental health field or High school diploma and 3 years experience in the mental health field; or any combination of education, experience and training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required. . Demonstrated crisis intervention/prevention and de-escalation skills required. * Proficient communication skills, both oral and written. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Some knowledge of the mental health system and supports. * Required to possess a valid drivers' license with an acceptable driving record. Scope: * Frequent talking and listening. * Requires the ability to lift carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop and bend which may include direct intervention with residents. * Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills. * May require crisis intervention in emergency situations. * May be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
