Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Ecosystem Manager for Care Transformation and Innovation (CT&I) is responsible for sensing & scanning the external environment for trends as well as potential partners and/or vendors (from startup through established incumbents) across a portfolio of initiatives and opportunity areas. Reporting to the Ecosystem Director, the Ecosystem Manager is key to discovering and establishing thriving external partnerships for CT&I. Must reside in or relocate to Nashville. Up to 25% Travel

General Responsibilities:

  • Lead sensing & scanning efforts across the portfolio of CT&I initiatives and strategic opportunity areas

  • Drive initial engagement with potential vendors and partners – from desk research, CB Insights, to screening meetings, facilitating the appropriate multidisciplinary stakeholder meetings, collaborating with sourcing on RFIs, and closing the loop internally and externally

  • Attend key conferences to stay current on trends, feeding key insights back into the CT&I portfolio, and maintain current view of the growing and shifting market landscape related to healthcare innovation

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders within CT&I and across the broader HCA enterprise

  • Drive CT&I leadership engagement and alignment across ecosystem efforts, tools, frameworks and processes

Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • Bachelor Degree - Required

  • Master Degree - Preferred

  • 4+ years previous work experience in healthcare innovation strategy, venture capital, management consulting, startups, and/or corporate innovation

  • Experience leading senior professionals through influence

  • Understands market landscaping, startup funding options/stages, key business model considerations, and how to distill key insights and turn into actionable recommendations

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Ability to build, develop, and sustain relationships

  • Strong business acumen
