Robert Half Bookkeeper in Kansas City, Missouri

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. The role mainly involves handling accounting projects, with the option of working fully remote after a period of in-office training. The chosen candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to community foundation investment accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with advisors through email and phone to prepare electronic or physical paperwork for updating authorized signers on community foundation investment accounts

• Collaborate with advisors via email and phone to prepare electronic or physical paperwork for updating banking information on community foundation investment accounts

• Log on to community foundation investment accounts to switch from mail to paperless statements

• Utilize skills in Correspondent Banking and Electronic Banking to efficiently manage financial transactions and banking needs

• Ensure all financial records and reports are accurate and up-to-date

• Handle any inquiries related to customer credit and resolve them promptly

• Monitor customer credit accounts and initiate actions for collecting delinquent payments

• Process customer credit applications in an accurate and timely manner. Requirements • Proven experience in a bookkeeping role

• Proficiency in Correspondent Banking and Electronic Banking

• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

• Confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in handling and documenting financial information

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Relevant certification or qualification in Finance, Business Administration or related field is advantageous.
