Role: Email Campaign Developer

Reports to: Senior Director of Strategic Technology

Location: Hybrid (combination of on-site and work-from-home). On site work is at our World Vision US Headquarters in Federal Way, WA (https://maps.app.goo.gl/uS6nkGxV3avbz2sS8) . Considering candidates currently located in the Pacific Northwest only (Washington state & Oregon). Must be able to come into the office the first Thursday of every month.

Salary Range: $ 69,355.72 -108,024.63 annually. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $73,0 00 - $88,700 annually. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity. 01 The Job

Do you have a desire to take your marketing technology skills and experiences to the next level to contribute to building a better world for children and families, helping them to overcome extreme poverty? We’re looking for a talented and collaborative new team member to build and execute strategic campaigns that ignite action and propel our mission forward. These campaigns vary in scope, from crafting simple one-off messages to orchestrating more complex multi-channel campaigns that bring our donors along in a journey of transformation. As a campaign developer, you will synergize with our Marketing & Fundraising Teams to translate their envisioned donor journeys into tangible realities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of the role.

  • Participate in gathering business requirements to scope, document, design, QA, and produce marketing campaigns in partnership with team members and product/channel managers.

  • Assist in analyzing campaign universes for accuracy and alignment with established business rules.

  • Use marketing automation platforms to lead the design, build, and implementation of complex highly segmented, multi-wave and multi-channel (email, direct mail, phone, SMS, push notifications) workflows and journeys in Adobe Campaign Classic.

  • Develop and optimize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email content, ensuring compatibility across various email platforms.

  • Utilize email testing tools to ensure quality and effectiveness of marketing communications.

  • Build and manage JavaScript applications and libraries to support digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

  • Manage activities of partners, agencies, suppliers, and/or internal departments in the execution of tactical marketing activities aligned to delivery schedules.

  • Provide technical expertise to marketing teams on the best practices and use of marketing automation platforms.

  • Manage external data files as needed. Work with Marketing Automation Data Analyst to ensure data is standardized, cleansed and free of errors. Partner with Senior Team Members to develop standardized templates that meet campaign requirements and enable greater productivity and faster time to market on campaign sends.

  • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.

  • Build, over time, technical and business capability understanding of all the modules offered within Adobe Campaign Classic such as offer and catalog management.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

    Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience (8 years).

  • In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 3-5 years of work experience in marketing, marketing operations, technology, or a related area.

  • 3+ years of experience in HTML/CSS development for email specifically preferred.

    Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of email coding standards and best practices, as well as deliverability optimization.

  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting rendering issues, broken links, and other technical glitches that may arise during email development and deployment.

  • Experience implementing dynamic content and personalization techniques within email templates to enhance engagement and relevance.

  • Experience testing email templates across various email clients, devices, and screen sizes.

  • 3+ years experience using JavaScript & JSON.

  • 3+ years experience using REST web services.

  • 3+ years experience working and designing relational databases and integrating complex marketing technology/email/CRM platforms.

  • 3+ years experience developing SQL queries for Select/Insert/Update/Delete, including knowledge of multi-table joins and outer joins.

  • 3+ years experience accessing APIs using JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with version control systems like GIT for managing code repositories.
