WSP is currently seeking an exceptional candidate for an Entry-Level Environmental Planner for our Honolulu office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General environmental planning support, including data collection, research, and documentation

  • Assist in analysis of geospatial, statistical, and operations data

  • Contribute to environmental feasibility studies, permitting strategies and other analyses

  • Support field work/research, alternatives screening analyses, environmental assessments, and community outreach for public clients

  • Assist planners and other staff in creating, editing, maintaining and analyzing datasets and geospatial data

  • Coordinate with other disciplines, including sustainability and water resources

  • Manage time and effort effectively on multiple projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or related field

  • Knowledge of environmental planning practices and policies

  • Good organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and attention to detail

  • Strong technical writing, analytical and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or related field

  • Familiarity with GIS applications and tools

  • Experience with graphic design software

  • Environmental planning internship experience
