Pharmacy Manager – Rushford, MN

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize customer needs as the foremost concern.

  • Train and oversee staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and customer service associates.

  • Manage pharmacy staff schedules, vacation requests, and payroll efficiently.

  • Follow policies and procedures governing pharmacy operations.

  • Stay current with and enforce compliance with all state and federal pharmacy practice regulations.

  • Review prescription drug pricing to maximize gross profit margins.

  • Manage inventory to optimize return on investment.

  • Promote community engagement and involvement.

  • Accurately and promptly receive, process, fill, and verify prescriptions.

  • Collect and reconcile billing information for Medicaid and Medicare for DME and supplies.

  • Ensure patients receive counseling on new prescriptions and refills with therapy or condition changes.

  • Collaborate with corporate staff to ensure policy and procedure compliance.

  • Maintain regular communication with pharmacy staff, store managers, and district managers.

  • Support new company initiatives, such as medication synchronization, diabetic shoes, and fundraisers.

  • Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance reports.

  • Support promotional activities within the pharmacy and Home Health Care categories.

  • Respond promptly to emails, voice messages, and memos from corporate staff, typically within one business day.

  • Encourage professional growth among staff pharmacists and ancillary staff.

  • Provide exceptional service to patients.

  • Develop and participate in new programs and services to help patients achieve positive therapeutic outcomes.

  • Collaborate with other pharmacy managers to optimize pharmacy practices.

  • Respond promptly to patient inquiries.

  • Be prepared to perform tasks of pharmacy technicians and customer service associates when needed.

  • Assist other pharmacy locations with questions and staffing needs when possible.

  • Address and resolve customer and employee concerns and complaints.

  • Meet with vendors of pharmacy-related products.

  • Manage continuous quality improvement and quality assurance programs in pharmacies.

  • Encourage and facilitate the continuing education of pharmacy staff.

  • Adapt quickly to company policy and workflow changes.

  • Conduct and engage in regular touchpoint meetings with staff, ensuring follow-up on discussed topics.

  • Encourage and support employee engagement with customers through corporate marketing materials.

  • Inform and engage employees about the Profit Incentive Program.

  • Work with the store manager to implement necessary programs, communications, and training.

  • Ensure store compliance with financial budgets.

  • Complete other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of college of pharmacy or ACPE accredited school

  • Licensed as a Pharmacist in Minnesota

  • 3+ years pharmacy experience in a retail/community setting

  • Thorough knowledge pharmacy business, including technical and financial

  • 2+ years in management
