Job Description for Education and Workforce Outreach Development Manager

This position will manage education and workforce development and outreach initiatives and activities in support of NYCREATES strategic priorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with NY CREATES Education Workforce Development leadership and externally funded programs or centers based at or utilizing the Albany Nanotech Complex to develop, design. And execute effective outreach activities/programming for education and industry partners in the area of workforce development

  • Develop partnerships to promote education and workforce development relevant to NY CREATES and NYS science and technology priorities with an emphasis on promoting diversity and participation of groups underrepresented in STEM careers.

  • Lead or support development of externally funded workforce development programs.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present information in a clear and organized way.

  • Ability to create technical presentations to educational groups and students.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.

  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Education and Workforce Outreach Development Manager:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization.

  • At least 5 years of experience supporting STEM-based workforce engagement identifying and initiating partnerships with diverse industry and academic partners.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and social media outlets.

This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

Salary Range: $75,000- $91,000

*Posted salary rates are determined upon experience and education
